Adolescent & Youth Health Unit

Focuses on improving health outcomes and services for young people during the adolescent and youth years.

Core objectives:
• Formulating strategic plans aligned with adolescent health program goals.
• Building advocacy with policymakers and stakeholders regarding adolescent-friendly health services.
• Fostering collaboration across education, social service, and youth sectors on multidisciplinary health matters.
• Developing and testing evidence-based interventions to integrate into existing service models.
• Conducting assessments and operational research on adolescent and youth health concerns.
• Enhancing capacity of health officers on making existing services friendly to young people.
• Providing technical expertise for programme planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Creating health communication materials tailored to this demographic.
• Facilitating knowledge-sharing on innovative service delivery practices.
• Chairing the Technical Advisory Committee on Young Persons' Health.
